You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you are applying for the 2017 Ontario senior homeowners’ property tax grant but you did not enter the amount of property tax you paid in 2016 for your principal residence in Ontario:
You need to enter the total amount of property tax paid for your principal residence in Ontario for 2016 as you’re applying for the 2017 Ontario senior homeowners’ property tax grant. [error code: 152]
How do I fix this?
To correct the error, enter the amount of property tax that you paid in 2016 for your principal residence in Ontario into the designated field of the ON-BEN Ontario trillium benefit and Ontario senior homeowners’ property tax grant page.
Note: The ON-BEN page can be found on the PREPARE tab under the OTHER icon.
