You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you indicated on your tax return that you immigrated to Canada in 2016 but did not enter the date you arrived in Canada:

You need to enter the date you arrived in Canada because you indicated that you immigrated to Canada in 2016. [error code: 337]

How do I fix this? 

To correct the error, enter the date you arrived in Canada in the designated field on the Your residence page.
