You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if, when completing the T5: Statement of investment income page, you entered an amount in box 16 (Foreign tax paid) that was more than the amount in box 15 (Foreign income):

The amount entered in box 16 can't be more than the amount in box 15. Please ensure you entered the amounts shown on the T5 slip correctly. [error code: 335]

How do I fix this?

To correct the error, on the T5 page, enter the correct amounts in box 15 and 16 as shown on your T5 paper slip. Note that the amount in box 16 (Foreign tax paid) cannot be more than the amount you enter in box 15 (Foreign income).

Note: To enter your T5 slip into the software, go to the QUICK ENTRY tab and click on the QUICK SLIP icon. Type "T5" in the search field. Click the highlighted selection or press Enter to continue.
