If you are filing your federal and Québec return through NETFILE, your federal return may transmit to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) without any issues but your Québec return may give you the following Revenu Québec error: “Return cannot be NETFILED”.
How do I fix this?
To correct this error, go to your T4 page under the QUICK SLIP icon of the QUICK ENTRY tab, and remove any special characters from the employer’s name. You can also choose to remove the employer’s name altogether from the T4 page.
