You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if, when entering your mailing address on the Your mailing address page, you entered invalid characters in the rural route field:
The rural route you entered doesn't seem to be valid. Rural routes can only contain numbers. [error code: 298]
How do I fix this?
To correct the error, enter your rural route in the Rural route number field of the Your mailing address page using only numbers.
Correct format: 23
Incorrect format: 23RR
