You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if, while completing Schedule 8: Contributions to the CPP or QPP, you selected a month in which you want to stop contributing CPP on your self-employment earnings that occurs after the date you completed the CPT30: Election to stop contributing to the Canada Pension Plan, or revocation of a prior election form:
The month you chose to stop contributing to the CPP on your self-employment earnings is the same month or after the month you entered in the date you completed the CPT30 form. Choose a month to stop contributing to the CPP only if it's before the month you completed the CPT30 form. [error code: 311]
How do I fix this?
To correct the error, select a month in which you want to stop contributing to the CPP on your self-employment earnings that is before the date you completed your CPT30 form.
