Error Message 265: SPOUSE_UCCB_INCOME_REQUIRED

You'll see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you're filing your tax return separate from your spouse or common-law partner and did not enter the universal child care benefit (UCCB) from your spouse's return:

You need to enter the amount of universal child care benefit (UCCB) from your spouse's 2016 T1 General. If your spouse didn't receive any UCCB payments, enter 0. [error code: 265]

How do I fix this?

To correct the error, enter the UCCB amount from your spouse’s 2016 tax return on the Amounts from {Spouse’s} 2016 return page of your return.  You must enter a value for UCCB payments; if your spouse didn't receive any UCCB payments, enter 0.

Note: You can find the Amounts from {Spouse’s} 2016 return page under the OTHER icon of the PREPARE tab.
