You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if on your T4: Statement of remuneration paid page, you selected employment code 11 (placement or employment agency worker) for Box 29 but did not enter the related gross income in Box 81:
On the T4 page, you need to choose 81 in the Box drop-down menu and enter the amount for box 81 shown on the T4 slip because you chose code 11 for box 29. [error code: 259]
How do I fix this?
To correct the error, enter the gross income amount that is shown on Box 81 of your T4 paper slip. To do so, scroll to the bottom of the T4 page in the tax software and select 81 from the Box list. Next, enter the amount in the field labelled Amount.
Note: To enter your T4 slip into the software, go to the QUICK ENTRY tab and click on the Quick Slip icon. Enter "T4" in the search box and click Add.
