You'll see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you're a resident of Saskatchewan and you entered information from your 2016 Graduate Retention Program Eligibility Certificate into the field labelled Certificate 3 before entering information into the fields labelled Certificate 1 and Certificate 2 on the Saskatchewan graduate retention program (RC360) page:
You need to enter information for Certificate 1 and Certificate 2 before you enter information for Certificate 3 to claim your graduate tuition tax credit. [error code: 252]
How do I fix this?
To correct the error, enter your information into the field labelled Certificate 1 and Certificate 2 before proceeding to enter your information into the subsequent field of the RC360 page when claiming your graduate tuition tax credit.
Note: The RC360 page can be found under the STUDENTS icon of the PREPARE tab.
