You'll see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you have indicated that the total number of months in which you were enrolled in part-time and full-time courses during the year was more than 12 months:
The total number of months school was attended part-time and full-time can’t be more than 12. Please make sure you entered the information shown on the T2202A or TL11A certificate(s) correctly. [error code: 176]
How do I fix this?
To correct the error, enter the correct number of months you spent enrolled in part-time and full-time courses as shown on your T2202A or TL11A certificate(s).
Note: You can add your T2202A or TL11A certificate(s) on the QUICK SLIP page under the QUICK ENTRY tab. Enter the name of the certificate in the search field. Click the highlighted selection or press Enter to continue.
