You'll see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if, while completing the Spousal support or child support payments made page, you did not enter the last name of the person to whom you made support payments in 2016:
You need to enter the last name of the person who received spousal support payments from you in 2016. [error code: RQ180]
How do I fix this?
To correct the error, enter the last name of the person to whom you made support payments, in the designated field of the Spousal support or child support payments made page.
Note: You can find the Spousal support or child support payments made page on the PREPARE tab under the OTHER icon.
