You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you entered an amount in box 43 of your T4 that was more than your employment income in box 14 of your T4 slip:

The Canadian Forces personnel & police deduction amount can't be higher than the amount entered for employment income. Make sure you entered the amount shown in box 43 on the T4 slip correctly. [error code: 190]

How do I fix this?

To correct the error, enter the amounts shown on your paper T4 slip correctly into the T4 page of the H&R Block tax software. The amount in box 43 of your T4 for the Canadian Forces personnel and police deduction cannot be more than the employment income shown in box 14 of your T4.
