You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you have indicated that you are claiming one of more of the Ontario self-employment credits as a member of a partnership but neglected to enter the partnership’s 9-digit business number:

You need to enter the Business Number as you’re claiming one of more of the Ontario self-employed credits as a member of a partnership. [error code: 201]

How do I fix this?

To correct the error, enter your partnership’s 9-digit business number into the designated field of the tax software. To do this, go to the Ontario tax credits for self-employed individuals page which can be located by clicking the EMPLOYMENT icon on the PREPARE tab.
