You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if, on the Your dependants page, you entered the same social insurance number (SIN) for two or more of your dependants:
Your dependants can’t have the same social insurance number (SIN). Make sure you enter a unique SIN for each of them. [error code: RQ184]
How do I fix this?
To correct the error, enter each dependant’s unique SIN in the designated field on the Your dependants page.
