You'll see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if, while entering your RL-5: Benefits and indemnities slip, you entered a value greater than 12 in Box V and/or in the field related to the number of months in 2016 you met the conditions for claiming the supplement to the work premium:
The number of months you entered in Box V and in the field related to the number of months in 2016 you met the conditions for claiming the supplement to the work premium can’t be higher than 12. Please correct the number of months you entered in these boxes on the RL-5 page. [error code: RQ131]
How do I fix this?
To correct the error, enter the correct number of months in the year and in your period of transition to work during which you did not receive last-resort financial assistance or financial assistance under the Alternative jeunesse program (Box V) or enter the correct number of months in 2016 you met the conditions for claiming the supplement to the work premium. The maximum number of months that you can enter in either field is 12.
