You'll see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you indicated on form TP-350.1: Calculation of the deduction for residents of designated remote areas that the number of days during the year you maintained a dwelling in a northern or intermediate zone exceeded the number of days during the year you lived in that zone:
The total number of days you entered for the additional amount can’t be more than the number of days you entered for the base amount. [error code: RQ113]
How do I fix this?
To correct the error, enter correct number of additional days that you lived in a northern or an intermediate zone on form TP-350.1. The number of days entered in this field cannot exceed the number of days you entered for the basic amount. You can find the TP-350.1 form under the OTHER icon of the PREPARE tab.
