You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you have entered an amount that exceeds the maximum EI insurable earnings amount on the T4: Statement of remuneration page:

EI insurable earnings can’t exceed $50,800.00. Make sure you entered the amount shown in box 24 on the T4 slip correctly. [Warning]

How do I fix this? 

To correct the error, enter the correct amount found in box 24 of your T4 slip into the designated field of the tax software.
