You will see the following warning message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you have entered an amount in box 18 of the T4: Statement of remuneration page that exceeds the maximum EI premium amount for the year:

EI premiums can’t exceed $955.04. Make sure you entered the amount shown in box 18 on the T4 slip correctly. [Warning]

How do I fix this? 

To correct the error, enter the correct amount found in box 18 of your T4 slip into the designated field of the tax software.
