You will see the following error message in the 2016 H&R Block Tax Software if you entered the same Social Insurance Number (SIN) for yourself and your spouse or common-law partner:

You and your spouse can’t have the same social insurance number (SIN). Make sure you enter the correct SIN. [error code: 113]

How do I fix this?

To correct the error, enter your correct Social Insurance Number in the designated field on the Your personal information page under the ABOUT YOU icon, and enter your spouse or common-law partner’s correct Social Insurance Number in the designated field on the Your spouse’s personal information page under the ABOUT YOUR SPOUSE icon.
