You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2016 tax software if you entered an incorrect 3-character currency code in box 27 of the T5: Statement of investment income page:
It looks like you entered a foreign currency code in box 27 of the T5 page that is invalid. Let’s go back and enter the correct 3-character alphabetic code of the foreign currency (example: USD for US dollar, EUR for euro, GBP for UK pound) you received the amounts in [error code: 457]
How can I fix this?
To fix this error, enter the correct currency code as it appears on box 27 of your paper T5 slip into H&R Block’s tax software. Valid currency codes include USD, EUR, and GBP. The T5 page can be found on the QUICK SLIP page of the QUICK ENTRY tab.
